北の果て、稚内にある宗谷丘陵。

昨日稚内入りし、今日利尻島に渡る予定だったが、

あいにくの天気で利尻富士を拝むこともできなさそうなので渡島はキャンセル。

今度は日本海を南下〜

Got to Wakkanai yesterday so I was planning to go to Rishi Island but

weather ain’t good so canceled my plan and

decided to drive down south~~

日本海側、サロベツ湿原から望む稚内のノシャップ岬。

映画のロケ地にもなった抜海。

こんなノスタルジックな駅を見ると、

小・中学生時代に蒸気機関車を追って北海道を放浪していたこと思い出すぜ〜

Bakkai Station, where was used for the movie.

Seeing this kind of old fashioned station, it brings back my

memories when I was traveling around Hokkaido when I was a child~~

日本海側は全くのフラットなので、少し内陸部に入った幌延町にあるトナカイ牧場をチェケラ〜

やっぱ普通の鹿より迫力あるね〜

Waves are absolutely flat so checked out this reindeer farm at Horonobe City~~

Looking more dynamic than the deer~~

して、その牧場公園に咲いていた、幻の青いケシの花。

And the legendary blue poppy flower.

今宵は山間部にあるピンネシリで車中泊〜

夕方日本海側の天塩でお風呂を入ってきたが、夜は更に冷え込んできたので、

道の駅の目の前にあるピンネシリ温泉にもう一度浸かり、ササ〜っと寝袋に入り込んで寝た〜

Sleeping at Pinneshiri for tonight~~

Went to a hot spring once on evening but

got chilly so went in again at Pinneshiri and slept well~~
