高知を午前零時に出発し、午前４時に鳥取に到着〜〜

大阪から走って来たサスケとも合流し、まだ暗かったがあちこちのビーチをチェッケラ〜〜

結局先週ジョーとセッションをしたビーチが一番スティープなブレイクを見せていたので、

午前６時にはセッション開始〜〜

トップの写真はその右側で割れるサンドボトムのポイントブレイクで、

決まった時はスペシャルなクォリティを発揮すると言うローカルオンリーのスポットだ。

Finally got to Tottori on 4 am~~

Caught up with Sasuke and checked all around the beach~~

Beach where we surfed with Joe looked alright so started our morning session~~

Shot above is the point break breaking at a sand bottom.

One of the local spot that shows a high quality waves in right time.

そのスペシャルなポイントブレイクの左側にも砂がたまり、極上のビーチブレイクが炸裂〜

今日はポイントブレイクがややサイズ不足のため、ローカルもこちらのビーチブレイクでチャージしていた。

Size wasn’t enough for the point break so local surfers were surfing around at the beach break as well.

カイキとサスケはほぼ同郷、同期でかつてはよく一緒に海に通っていたほどの仲良しだ。

キャラは全くの正反対だが、大阪をベースにサーフィンライフを送る、根っからの大阪サーファー。

海のそばで生まれ育ったサーファーには理解しにくいと思うが、

大阪という海・波のない都会で生活をしながらサーフィンを続けて行くことの苦労は並大抵ではない。

ましてプロサーファーとしてのスキルアップ、維持には大変な努力、ブレない精神力が必要とされる。

かつての全盛期には大阪から数々の素晴らしいサーファーが輩出された時期もあったが、

現在現役でプロサーファーを全うしているのはこの二人しかいないというのも寂しい限りだ。

Kaiki & Sasuke is like a mate as a friend and as a surfer.

Characteristic is totally different but he’s sure is deep Osakan surfer.

It is a hard thing to continue surfing in a place where there’s no wave and ocean.

Surfer in Osaka needs a unbroken spirit to advance to a next level.

There were many Pros in Osaka but too sad this two surfer is the only left in Osaka.

今季になって３度目となった来鳥、今回も素晴らしい波、セッションをスコアすることが出来ました。

この春は例年とは打って変わり太平洋側が小康状態が続きプアーな幕開けとなったが、

逆に日本海側はこの時期まで北東のグランドスエルが入り続けるという異例のシーズンとなった。

サーフィンは全て自然の恩恵（波、風、天気）を受けて成り立つもの、、、

例年のセオリーとは裏腹に今春はまさに日本海の当たり年だったと言えよう。

3rd time visiting Tottori and scored a wonderful waves again.

Pacific side is getting a poor swell for this year.

But good thing Japan Sea side got a north east grand swell.

Surfing always goes along with nature.

Mother nature went on Japan Sea side for the start of this season.
