ついにノースショアにグッドコンディションが戻って来た〜
昨日からのノーススエルがサイズダウンし、サンセットは６〜１０フィート。
程よいトレードウインドにゴージャスウエザー。
こんな日は何日ぶりだろうか、、、？
ようやく 暗いトンネルを抜け出した気分の一日でした〜〜
Good condition is back to Northshore~~~
Size went down from yesterday’s north swell and Sunset was 6~10ft.
Nice trade wind and a gorgeous weather.
How long did we wait this for…?
Felt like we finally came out from the darkness~~~

サンセットもゴーインオフだったが、
ログキャビンではジョンジョン達のバレルセッションが展開されていたと、
後からリュウに教えてもらった。
Sunset was going off but
I’ve heard from Ryu that John John was doing some barrel session at Log Cabin.
Arashi Kato
ディープポジションからややウエスト気味のピークをとらえたアラシ。
朝一から徐々にサイズダウンしていった。
Arashi got the westerly kind from the deep position.
Size was going down from morning.
Kaishu Tanaka
シーズン初盤のHIC PROでは落ち着いた試合運び、
安定したマニューバーを駆使してヒートアップしていったカイシュウ。
サンセットにフィットするタイプのサーファーだと言える。
Kaishu went through the HIC PRO smoothly and
went up the heat with his stabled maneuver.
He’s the one who fits into Sunset.

朝のツルンとしたサンセットを見た瞬間、今日はインサイドボウルデイになると確信した。
しかし結果、シャキ〜ンとしないままサイズダウンしていってしまった。
When I saw morning Sunset’s smooth face, I thought today would become the inside bowl day.
But size just went down with nothing special.

いつの間にかハワイに戻って来ていたガイチャン。
ステイ先のヴォルコムハウスから見たパイプはメスドアウトしていたので、
今日はサンセットに出張〜〜
Guy was back to Hawaii again.
Pipe looked messed out so he came to Sunset~~~
Mahina Maeda
幼い頃からサンセットで慣れ親しんできただけあって、
ビッグサンセットででも臆ともしないマヒナちゃん。
Mahina is used to Sunset since she was a kid so
never shows her fear in this kind of big Sunset.
Kahea Hart
そのマヒナのトレーニングコーチでもあるカヘアハート。
シェイプされた体でソリッドロックのサーフィンを見せてくれる。
And Mahina’s training coach, Kahea Hart.
Shows us solid surfing with his fitted body.
Dede Suryana
こちらもインドネシアのソリッドロックサーファー／デデスルヤナ。
かつてはカヘアハウスにステイし、ギンギンノースのビッグウエイブを攻め込んでいた。
And he is Indonesian soldi surfer/ Dede Suryana.
He used to stay in Kahea House and charged into Northshore’s crazy bog waves.
Kekoa Uemura
タウンのレジェンドロングボーダー／チャイナウエムラの息子／ケコア。
ダフイ／シュートアウトのロングインビでノースにやってきたが、
今日のコンテストはキャンセルされ、サンセットでクル〜ジン〜
Town’s legendary long boarder/China Uemura’s son/ Kekoa.
He came to Northshore for Da Hui Shoot Out but
the contest was canceled so cruising at Sunset~~

短めの板でインサイドを狙ったマー。
今日は久々インサイドボウルで水中撮影かと思っていたが、イマイチ決まり切らなかった〜
Mar was surfing with his short board.
I could of shoot in the water but couldn’t decided~~
@ Sunset Beach
久し振りにこんなクリーンなコンディションに戻ったサンセットビーチ。
いつの間にやらビーチの砂が捥ぎ取れ、岩が露出してしまっている〜〜〜ベリ〜〜レア〜〜
Sunset Beach finally became clean.
Looks like the sands came off and reefs are out in surface~~~ It’s very rare.

午後からはサイズダウンしてきたバックドア／オフザでセカンドセッション〜〜
Size was coming down so second session in Off The Wall/ Backdoor~~~

アウチ〜〜〜ジョー君はこのワイプアウトで、今季初のブロークボードを強いられた。
Ouch~~~ Jo broke his board for his first time in this season.

ガイはライトへリッピン、レフトへバレリ〜とクールなアプローチをして見せた。
Guy was lippin’ in the right.
Ryu Nakamura
ノースが強くパイプ側は砂がついているため、流れ気味のライトブレイクとなった。
サイズダウンしたとはいえ、まだまだマックスセットが来襲するので、
サーファーは数人しか入っていないコンディションだった。
North swell was strong so Pipe still had sands on so breaks were right.
Even the size went down, max set comes sometimes so
there were only few surfers inside.

怒濤のカレントの中で、オフザのレフトをとらえたマー。
小振りのパイプカインドのバレルをクルーズすると、
御覧の様な大スピッツとともにケイムアウト〜〜〜
ストークするも束の間、ライトに行った波で板を折ってしまった〜〜
Mar got this lefty from Off The Wall in a strong current.
After you cruise through the Pipe kind wave,
you could come out with this spit like this~~~
But he broke his board after he went to the right~~
