本日のノースショア、朝一は北風ビュービューのオンショアコンディション、、、

波は風でケイムアップし、３〜４〜ってとこ〜

朝三あたりから風が緩み、コンディションはゲッツベター。

でも今度は雨が来たりとかで、今日はノーシュート〜〜

クリスマスデイのパイプから、年末年始ほんと波がしょぼい、、、

昨冬は年が明けるやモードが変わり、いきなりパンピングしたことが嘘のようにあいも変わらず小康状態が続いている。

なので、他のカメラマン同様、今尚あのクリスマスデイのパイプの余韻が残っているのだ。

But wind rose up to 3~4~.

Condition started to get better from late morning.

But started to rain sometimes so no shoot~~

Waves ain’t pumping since Christmas…

That’s why that Christmas day gave a us a heavy impact.

クリスマスデイのパイプでは、ワキタ同様アウトサイドのビッグセットにフォーカスしていたタカヌキユウマ君。

ディープウエストよりもややノースよりのピークからジャイアントセットを乗り込み、

スロープの長いアウトサイドブレイクからミドルのビッグバレルにプルイン、

インサイドとは異なる肉厚のミドルバレルを見事メイクしていった。

ユウマは腰のヘルニアに悩まされ２シーズンノースをスキップしたが、今冬復帰し、

ゆっくりとしたペースで久々のノースショアを吟味しながら、

このクリスマスデイのパイプでこの一発を狙っていった。

年末一時帰国し、昨日再びハワイに戻り、今度はそのままマウイ島へ飛んで、

まずはホキーパから始め、最終的にはピアヒの波を体験してみたいと語ってくれた。

そして次のビッグスエルは来週の金〜土〜日あたりの予報。

made through this middle barrel.

He suffered by slipped disk for the past 2 seasons but recovered and

got back to North Shore. And finally got this shot.

He went back to Japan once and he’ll fly to Maui to

taste the Pe’ahi’s wave.

Next big swell will reach on next Friday or Saturday.

この低気圧のウエストノースウエストスエルが、１月１３日あたりからノースにヒットしてくる。

明日からはイーストのトレードになり、その後ヴァリアブルウインドデイとなる。

いよいよミッドシーズンに突入や〜〜

West north west well will hit North Shore from January 13th.

ワキタタイチ、アズチジョー、モリユウジともこのラウンドで敗れてしまった。
