@ The Box  Nihonkai

昨日は冬の訪れを知らせる木枯らし１号が吹き荒れ、日本海側は大時化状態となり、

大阪も冷たい寒気が流れ込みチャブ〜〜イ１日だった。

夜、湘南にいるマツオカケイトから連絡が入り、明日の丹後ボックスを狙うというので、

急遽今日の日本海入りが決まった。

俺は大阪から２時間半の道のりだが、湘南からは７〜８時間はかかるはずだが、

あの痺れる一発を狙って、マツオカケイト、フカガワタツヤ、そしてフォトグのカミオが

徹夜の運転を駆使して京都・丹後まで突っ走ってきた〜〜〜

Chilly wind started to blow so all ocean has blown out.

Keito Matsuoka called me from Shonan and told me that he’ll go to Tango so

looks like I gotta go as well.

Keito Tatsuya and Kamio came all the way up from Shonan~~

昨日のビュービュー北東のオンショアは凪いでコンディションは整ってきたが、

思ったよりもサイズが上がりきらず、ドセットで４プラスってとこだった。

Condition is getting ready but

size didn’t rise that high. 4+ ft.

モーニングシックネスの後、朝日が昇り出してくると波がカチっとし出し、二人はパドルアウト〜〜

外気はめちゃ寒だったが、水温はまだ緩いようだ。

After a morning sickness, this two paddled out along with the morning sunlight~~

They told me that ocean temperature was warmer that they expected.

北東のスエルでライトは開き気味で、レフトを狙っていたが数はかなり少なかった。

しかしケイトはラインアップするや、１本目からレフトのシックワンをゲッツした〜

Aimed for the lefty but number of waves were few.

And got a sick one from his first wave~~

前回のトリップでは味わうことができなかったボックスのスリルの一片を今回は味見できたタツヤ。

数少ないソリッドな波を着実にメイクしていったケイト。

そして以前からここの波を撮りたい、ここの海で泳ぎたいと熱望していたフィッシーカミオとコネクト〜

まだまだエクセレントとは呼べない今回のボックスセッションだったが、

いよいよ本格的な日本海シーズンが始まったと言える。

Japan Sea season has just started.

モーニングセッション中に段々とセットが来なくなり、ボックスからビーチをチェックするも、

求めているゴリっとした波が見つからず、ケイトたちは昼前に日本海を発ち、湘南へ戻っていった〜

まさに恐るべし弾丸トリップや〜〜

Sets started to stop coming and

solid waves stopped coming in so Keito drove back to Shonan~~

What a bullet fast trip~~
