本日のノースショア、ノースウインドが吹き荒れストーミーコンディション。

ノーシュート３日目に突入〜

デスクワークの後、午後からはスーパーボウル観戦〜〜

アメリカ国民のアメフト熱狂は凄いものがあるにゃ〜

そんな中、２／１０（水）か２／１１（木）のヒュージスエルでの、

エディアイカウのイエローアラートが出された。

最後に行われたのが２００９年の１２月、つまり６シーズンも前になる。

当時３８歳だったワキタも今年で４４歳。

今なお日本を代表して名誉あるエディにインビティーされ続けている。

今冬は１月に入ってからスエルがノンストップで、

エルニーニョの影響から何度もビッグスエルは来襲してきたクレージーマンスだった。

そして２月も半ばになろうとするこの時期にして、

今季一番のビッグスエルがヒットしてくるというから驚きだ。

そして、ワキタはずっと誰よりもワイメアを練習し続け、いつでもレディの状態だ。

コンテストがオンされるのかオフとなるかは、その時になってみないとわからないが、

またあの熱狂のワイメアデイが到来することは間違い無さそうだ。

During then, Eddie Aikau’s yellow alert was announced.

Last time Eddie was held was at December 2009 so

it’s been 6 season from then.

Wakita is already 44 as well.

And he’s still getting a invitation to this competition.

Swell was non-stop this January and became one crazy month.

And supersized that huge swell’s still incoming in this mid-February.

And Wakita’s ready for this Eddie.

We never know if the contest will be held or not but

a monstrous Waimea will be a guarantee.

前回立ったワイメアは昼前から一気にサイズアップし、

ウエストが強くビッグレフトがそそりたち、何度もベイをクローズさせていった。

サイズ的にはエディカインドだったが、朝が小さかったためコールはなされなかったが、

今度のスエルは火曜の夜中から上がりだし、水曜がピーク、木曜もでかいとの予報。

ワオ〜、シーズン後半なんて事が起きるんでい〜〜〜

Last swell rose up before lunch time.

Big left swallowed the whole thing and made the bay closed out.

Size was Eddie kind but morning size wasn’t enough so wasn’t called.

But this swell’s gonna rise up from midnight and gets to the highest

on Wednesday or Thursday.

What a incident~~~
