本日のノースショア、ニューノースウエストスエルで４〜５〜６までサイズアップ〜
風は緩めの北風でフェイスは乱れ切らなく、
ビラボンパイプマスターズのトライアル・パイプインビテーショナルが行われ、
３２名の招待選手の中、ファイナルに勝ち進んだ４名のうち上位２名のみが、
本戦のワイルドカードを手に入れることができる。
そしてそのチケットを手に入れたのが、弱冠１６歳のノースショアボーイ・フィンマックギル君と、
パイプレジェンドでもあるベテランのギャビンベスチェンだった。
Size rose up to 4~5~6
Wind direction was northerly and wasn’t inconsistent so
Pipe Masters, Pipe Invitational was held.
Only 2 out of 32 surfers will gain the chance to surf in the Masters.
Winner became Finn Mcgill and
Pipe Legend, Gavin Beschen.

Keoni Ryota Yan
ラウンドー１はトップ通過のケオニヤンだったが、クォーターファイナルでは４位で敗退。
Keoni won through the 1st round but lost on the quarter final.
Takayuki Wakita
パイプインビティでは最年長のワキタタカユキ。
皆がバックドアを攻める中、ひたすらフロントドアにフォーカスしたが、
全てバレルがシャットダウンして４位敗退。
Oldest surfer in the invitational, Wakita.
Focused on the front door but
all of the barrel shut down and lost.
Kaito Kino
ライトにもレフトにもプルインしていったがことごとく潰されスコアを伸ばせず４位で破れたキノカイト。
Kaito Kino couldn’t score well and lost the match.
2nd Gavin Beschen
いぶし銀とも言えるギャビンのバックサイドがパイプにハマり、ヤングアップカマーを寄せ付けず
ファイナルに勝ち進み、若手ジョシュモニーツ、ビクターベルナードを下しての準優勝で、
マスターズ本戦へのワイルドカードを手に入れた〜〜〜
Gavin’s moved fitted into today’s Pipe well so
won through the battle with Josh Moniz and
got the wild card~~~
Winner Finn McGill
大方の予想を覆して、１６歳のフィンマックギルがパイプインビテーショナルを制し、
ギャビンとともに本戦出場のカードを手に入れた。
ファイナルではそれまで眠っていたパイプが突如覚醒しだし、
サイクルのハマったフィンが素晴らしいバックサイドプルインを見せつけ、
２位以下をコンボで突き放し堂々たる優勝を遂げたのだ。
Never expected Finn Mcgill to win the battle.
His unlimited skill started to show up on the Final and
made a combo tricks for the victory.
