ファイナルでは見事なバックドアロングバレルを決め、
９点台を叩き出したがバックアップが低く、
２本まとめてきたベンジーにリードされていたが、
ラストミニッツでバックサイドエアーリバースを決め、
アンリアルな逆転劇を演じて見せたジョシュアモニーツ。
コングラッツ、ジョシュ！！
Joshua Moniz made a 9 pointer by his long barrel in Backdoor
but Benji started to take the lead till the last minute and
Josh made a air reverse in the last point and won the game.
Congrats!!!
2nd Benji Brand
サウスアフリカ出身ながら幼少の頃からハワイ／ノースショアに移住し、
今やすっかりロコボーイのベンジーブランド。
彼のスキルの高さは誰もが認める所で、
今回はラストミニッツまでベンジーの優勝だと思っていたが、
まさかの逆転に涙を飲んだ、、、
しかし親友のジョシュアの優勝を讃え、自らウイナーを担いで友情の証しを示した。
Benji was born in South Africa but he moved to North Shore when he was a kid
and he’s now one local boy.
His skill is real and everyone thought he would of win this game till the last minute
but couldn’t make it…
But Joshua is one of his best friend so he carried him Josh up and praised as a one friend.
3rd Natxo Gonzalez
イングランド出身のパワフルなレフティ、ナトクソゴンザレス（、、と呼ぶのかな？）
特にバックハンドの豪快な縦上がりリップ／リエントリーは今大会一番だった。
またヨーロッパから凄いジュニアがドミネイトしてきた〜〜
Natxo Gonzales from England.
He has a powerful lefty style and his lip & re-entry was especially good in this competition.
One terrific surfer from Europe is dominating~~~
4th Seth Moniz
昨年のウイナーでもあるセスモニーツは、今年もファイナリストとなり、
パイプ／バックドアでも強さをプルーブしてきた。
とにかくチューブを見つけ出す才能はピカ一。
今回は兄のジョシュアに軍配が上がり、弟自ら兄貴を担いで行った〜
Seth Moniz/ Last year’s champion won up to the Final in this competition as well and
proved his toughness in Pipe/ Backdoor.
He’s really good at choosing the barrel waves.
In this contest, his older brother, Joshua won so he carried him as well~~
Taichi Wakita
日本人として唯一人パイププロジュニアに出場したワキタタイチ。
ラウンドー６４／ヒートー１６では強豪ジョシュアモニーツ、バロンマミヤと対戦、
皆がバックドア行く中、タイチはパイプにプルインしていったが、
ノーコンプリートで４位敗退となった。
次はタヒチ／パパラフェッスティバルじゃ！！
Taichi Wakita was the the only Japanese surfer in this competition.
He fought bravely in a powerful surfers and
pulled into Pipe side but couldn’t make it so lost as a 4th place.
Next competition will be at Tahiti!!
Kanoa Igarashi
素晴らしいアクションパフォーマンスでセミファイナルにまで勝ち進んだカノア。
しかしセミではベンジーとセスの強烈なチューブライドにやられ、３位敗退となった。
Kanoa won up to the Semi-Final with his wonderful action performance.
But lost by Benji & Seth’s tube ride and became 3rd place.

本日のパイプ、昨日よりサイズアップし、ノースよりの４〜６〜
風は強まったが、サイドオフショアを保ち、
バレルあり、リッピンありの見所のある試合となった。
これをもって、今季ノースショアのコンテストが全て終了した〜〜〜〜
お疲れさまでした〜
Size rose up to 4~6~ ft in Pipe.
Wind got stronger but the condition was side offshore so
the competition became with many actions.
Now, all of this season’s competition in North Shore has ended~~~~
